My name is Kevin Quinlan.
I started my Teamster career in 1989 at Purolator Courier London.
I was voted as Chief Steward in 2007 and became very involved within my local from that point on. I was involved with the National Purolator negotiations in 2010 and was part of a great team that brought new and improved changes for the members at Purolator Courier.
For many years, I’ve been proud to be a part of the Salvation Army Toy drive out of London to help bring a smile to children and their families over the Christmas holidays. I am also an area Captain for the Heart and Stroke foundation and have volunteered for the organization for many years.
I was appointed Trustee at Local #879 in May of 2014 to replace brother Mulligan as he retired in April of the same year.
I am very happy to be part of the Teamsters Local 879 team and look forward to being part of its future.
I have been a Teamster member since 1992 working as a T-Force Final Mile owner operator out of Windsor Ontario.
I was elected as a steward in 2003 and negotiated 5 collective agreements. I obtained my CompTIA IT A+ certificate and hope to be of help for any technology questions.
I look forward to representing my fellow Brothers and Sisters.
Though I have been a member of an organized labour environment for five years prior in an unrelated field, I first started driving as a Teamster in 1999.
I am currently working for TST Overland Express. I’ve been there since 2007. My time as steward has been both challenging and rewarding. This includes negotiations for my former terminals closure. I value my benefits as a Teamster so much that I sold my house and followed the work to Cambridge.
I’m grateful for all that being a Teamster has provided me over the years. I wouldn’t trade my benefits and my pension for anything. Not to mention the support of my brothers and sisters. And I’m equally grateful for the opportunity to return the good fortune. I look forward to being of service.
